Following the mandatory rule by Google, every application in Play Store is assigned a content rating based on Google's rating system. An app's content rating is available on the app's detail page and under the application's title.
As Google explains, application content ratings help understand an app's maturity level and communicate familiar and locally relevant content ratings to users to improve app engagement and target the right audience for your content. However, content ratings don't tell you whether an app is designed for users of a specific age.
The main purpose of ratings is to help consumers, especially parents, identify potentially objectionable content that exists within an app. The ratings you see in Google Play may also vary by country or region depending on local authorities that develop dedicated guidelines to determine the maturity level of the content in an app.
Can I remove the content rating for my app?
Compliance and participation with the app ratings system is required by Google. Apps that aren’t rated using the rating system may be removed from the Play Store.
What is the minimum rating my app can get?
Starting from 2016, due to the wide range of social features, Attendify apps have been assigned the +12 rating in Google Play.
Can we remove the notification, "Parental Guidance Recommended" in the additional info section for my app?
This notification is a part of the Google Play rating system and serves the same purpose - helping users, especially patents, identify the kind of content/features within an app. The notification can not be removed.
