Attendify’s Session Registration feature is designed to integrate with attendee schedules in Attendify Virtual Experience and mobile app. It’s important to note how your Schedule feature will change once the two are connected, as well as which information will be synced between your event experience and Session Registration.

How the sync works

When you link your event to the Attendify Event Registration platform with Session Registration enabled, the Schedule and Speaker features become shared between both. Therefore, if you decide to adjust some sessions using your Session Registration management page, those changes also will be reflected in your event experience.

How it looks in the Virtual Experience

Depending on the Schedule Visibility preference the organizer selected for this schedule in the "Engagement" section, the following will happen:

"Registered Schedule" option: attendees will only see the sessions they registered for as well as sessions that are automatically included with their ticket.

"Full Schedule" option: attendees will see the entire schedule, but can only watch the sessions they registered for as well as sessions that are automatically included with their ticket. Sessions that they didn't choose will not show any livestream or video.

How it looks in the mobile app

The schedule feature in the app will have more functionality when it’s connected with Session Registration. Attendees will have two tabs: "Full schedule" and "My schedule". "My schedule" will always show only the sessions they registered for as well as sessions that are automatically included with their ticket.

The behavior of the "Full schedule" tab will depend on the organizer's Schedule Visibility preference in the "Engagement" section:

"Registered Schedule" option: attendees will see all sessions that their Ticket Type is assigned to, including the ones they did not select. They can only watch the sessions they registered for as well as sessions that are automatically included with their ticket. If the schedule has any sessions that their Ticket Type is not assigned to, those sessions won't show up at all for this attendee.

"Full Schedule" option: similarly to the Virtual Experience, attendees will see the entire schedule, but can only watch the sessions they registered for as well as sessions that are automatically included with their ticket.

If you allow attendees to change their session registrations, they can do this directly from the mobile app by tapping on the "+" icon next to any available but unbooked session. If that session overlaps with their current selection, they'll get a warning:

Session modification can also be done from within the email confirmation that attendees receive upon registering. Attendees have to click "View Sessions" in the email, which will take them to a page where they can modify their schedule:

When the attendee modifies their sessions this way and saves changes, they will receive an automatic email informing that their Session Registration has been modified. The email will also include a new, updated ticket that should be used instead of the original if they plan to attend in-person.
